NO! We use a 100% waterproof tile backer board that will not rot or hold any moisture. This is either screwed to the wall joists or stuck to the brick or block walls using another waterproof material, foam adhesive. This combination costs around 4x more than old-fashioned plasterboard, but it means our bathrooms will last. Many times we have carried out bathroom renovations in properties only 18 months old and have removed mouldy plasterboard from wet areas.

A 25% deposit is taken when dates have been agreed, 65% payment when the works start, final 10% payable within 30 days of completion. If you choose the finance option then you will agree the monthly payments with the finance company.

Yes, we use modern methods to prepare the floor for tiling. The existing boards will be replaced where required, all screwed down, primed and then covered in a backer board fixed with screws and washers.

We are usually able to book with 6-8 weeks’ notice in advance but on many occasions can start sooner if you have a second bathroom to use whilst we work on the other one – this is purely because we don’t need to be as exact with our schedule. We can usually get all the first fix, plastering and tile preparation carried out at short notice, but as the tiling can take between 4-6 days then this is harder to fit in at short notice. When one of our tilers is available, they’ll be round right away to carry on.

Yes, we can include this as an additional cost and will always recommend a Grohe branded one. However, we will only use a wall hung toilet if the room setup is correct – just using one for the sake of it can look silly if it’s on a flat wall and you have had a box created just for the toilet to be hanging.
Wall hung toilets work best in an alcove or where there is space to box in the entire length of a wall to create the proper effect. We can also change the toilet from our usual one to a back to wall pan to hide any waste pipes, but again this is only suitable in specific situations. We make our bathrooms last, but to also be very easy to maintain, you can remove and replace the toilet in nearly all our bathrooms without causing any damage or taking anything apart.

Unfortunately, no. Day 1 schedule is to completely strip the bathroom back to nothing. We can supply a temporary ‘portaloo’ type toilet in your garden for around £240 for the duration of the works if you don’t have another loo to use. This is yours to use and not ours and would be cleaned weekly.

Yes, however, the best finish will come from our tiles. We go to great lengths to ensure our tiles are the highest quality, the same sizes, colours and batch numbers to ensure the best possible finish. We import these directly from Spain. You’ll notice in our gallery that when we fit our tiles, we are able to line the floor joints up with the walls because of these factors.

However we do understand that the tiles can be quite a personal choice as we all have different tastes, we can offer any tile from our suppliers catalogue and not just our stocked range, for an additional cost. Of course, if you still can’t find what you’re looking for then we can fit any tile that you supply us with, but we cannot guarantee the quality.
